Position:  Senior WiMax Core Engineer

The Role:
You will be required to formulate initial deployment strategy of Wimax core network; Carryout wimax network roll out; includes network planning and design, deployment, integrations for different network element, execution and validation of acceptance test plans. You will strtagise development for key Wimax network aspects and characteristics, especially end-to-end QOS, Mobility management, multifaceted charging scenarios. You will lead a cross-functional complex Wimax-core design, formulate the architecture, evaluate & assess various technology alternatives. You will evaluate improved features and technology approaches and prioritize the implementation in the best interest of the operator. You will identify, quantify, and recommend action plan to address new business opportunities according to overall strategy. You will define, architect and write detailed technical requirements for any new network change within the scope of Wimax core network. You will prepare and update network architecture/design documentation, originate network L1/L2/L3 designs. You will coordinate vendor activities and manage roadmaps for the activities/acceptance testing. You will establish and implement a progress reporting mechanism to keep stakeholders informed. Present network architecture, design and service scenarios to the management, co-workers.

The Person
You have a university degree in Telecom Enginering with 5 years of previous experience in supporting a large, diverse and multiple-technology Telecommunications environment. At least 3 years of experience in Wimax core planning and rollouts. You have a strong end-to-end knowledge of Wimax network (ASN, AAA, NMS, BTS). You have the exposure to and a strong knowledge of, designing Wimax networks, implementing QoS in IP networks, capacity planning and network reliability concepts. You have working experience with AAA, RADIUS, Diameter, SIP, H.248, SS7, Mobile IP, DNS, DHCP. You have strong technical skills in IP Network (IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, GRE, BGP, IPSec, VLANs, 802.xx, VPN). You have experience with Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS) Technologies, experienced in use of tools like Sniffer or Wireshark. You have the ability to communicate with brevity and clarity orally and through written communication to management, co-workers.
