Nawras offers two types of International Roaming Services – Call Back Roaming and Full Prepaid Roaming – for Nawras Mousbak and Nawras MousbakPlus prepaid customers.
 

International Roaming Tariffs for Mousbak Customers

Call Back Roaming
Nawras is the first operator in Oman to provide international roaming services for prepaid customers through Call Back Roaming. This service is provided in the countries where there is no Full Prepaid Roaming. Through Call Back Roaming, Nawras Mousbak and Nawras MousbakPlus customers can send & receive SMS as well as make & receive calls when they are roaming. All you need to do is use a special prefix code for making calls. Presently, Nawras Mousbak customers can use Call Back Roaming in over 100 countries.

How to use Call Back Roaming
There are no special codes or numbers needed to receive calls and SMS while roaming. You just need to switch on your phone when you reach your destination to activate Call Back Roaming.

If your mobile handset is in automatic network selection mode, it will select the network for you. Otherwise, you will be presented with a list of available operators and you need to manually select a mobile operator. Nawras may not have all networks in a country as selected roaming partners. Therefore, it is important to select the network of a Nawras partner to be able to use the service.

To make International Calls through Call Back Roaming:
1.	Dial a service code as follows: *121*+ Country Code & Telephone Number # (OK). Example: *121*+968xxxxxxxx# (OK).
2.	Then wait for your mobile handset to start ringing.
3.	When it starts ringing, answer by pressing (OK).

To make Local Calls through Call Back Roaming:
Local calls are calls to other numbers in the same country you are visiting. To make a local call when you are roaming, please follow the same procedure for International Calls as described above. You need to use the national country code for the country you wish to call.

Example: Dial *121*+971xxxxxxxx# (OK) if you are in UAE and you want to make a call to another UAE number.

To send SMS through Call Back Roaming:
You just need to use the international code before sending your message.

Full Prepaid Roaming
Nawras offers all Mousbak and MousbakPlus customers Full Prepaid Roaming in all the GCC countries and a select few destinations. This enhanced service allows customers to make & receive calls and send & receive SMS, in the same way as they are used to at home in Oman. The Full Prepaid Roaming service is automatically available to all Nawras prepaid customers who have sufficient credit on their accounts while travelling to the above mentioned countries.

EDGE, GPRS & Picture Messaging services are  available for Mousbak customers while roaming abroad. Please note that the availability of the Full Prepaid Roaming service is dependent on the foreign networks and their coverage.

How to make calls while roaming

To call a number in Oman:
Dial the number with the country code of Oman (e.g. +968 xxxx xxxx).

To make a local call in the country you are roaming:
Dial the country code of the country you are roaming and the number (e.g. +966 xxxx xxxx, if you are roaming in Saudi Arabia).

To make an international call from the country you are roaming:
Dial the country code of the country and the number (e.g. +973 xxxx xxxx, if you wish to call Bahrain, when you are roaming in Saudi Arabia).

To call Nawras Customer Service:
Dial +968 9501 1500.

To retrieve your Voice Messages:
Dial +968 9501 1505.
Calls to your Voice Mail are charged as normal roaming voice calls to Oman, and calls diverted to Voice Mail are charged as both an incoming call and a call back to Oman.

If you want to avoid these costs and rather profit from the free Missed Call Notice service while roaming, simply deactivate the divert to Voice Mail, as follows:

• Dial ##002# and press the OK button (also called CALL or YES button on certain phones). This will deactivate all your diverts.

• Voice Mail services can be activated again by diverting calls (on Busy, on Unreachable or on Unanswered) to the number +968 9501 1505.

To recharge while roaming:
Mousbak recharge cards available in denominations of RO 1, RO 2, RO 4 and RO 8. Recharging your Mousbak account while travelling abroad is easy! Just follow the instructions on your recharge card and carry out the normal recharging process as you would do in Oman.

However, it is advisable to top up your account with sufficient credit prior to travelling as some operators do not provide the facility of recharging from their networks. You may also ask your family or friends to transfer you credit through the Mousbak SMS E-Recharge service.

To check your account balance while roaming:
Dial *102# and press OK.
