Bon voyage message is a SMS sent to our customers while roaming in another country. Currently this service is only available for customers traveling to the GCC ( UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait & KSA ). There are two kind of messages sent to the roaming customer:

Welcome SMS: A customized greeting message to the country that the customer is entering and a short description of which roaming services are available with each operator.

Example
“Dear Customer, Welcome to UAE. Nawras has roaming available with Etisalat & du. You can also enjoy Data & Full Prepaid roaming with Etisalat & du. Nawras wishes you a pleasant stay!”

Tariff SMS: The message will contain information regarding the pricing of different roaming generated events depending on the price plan of the customer ( prepaid or postpaid ) and depending on which operator the customer is currently roaming on.

Example
For Postpaid customers roaming in Etisalat network the following message will be sent:
Roaming prices applicable with Etisalat are: National Call: 399 Bz (Offpeak) & 399 Bz (Peak), International Call to Oman:423 Bz (Offpeak) & 423 Bz (Peak), Incoming call:114 Bz (Offpeak) & 206 Bz (Peak), SMS:140 Bz, Data:5 Bz/KB.

For Prepaid customers roaming in Etisalat network the following message will be sent:
Roaming prices applicable with Etisalat are: Incoming call:199Bz, Local Call:399Bz, International Call to Oman:422 Bz, International Call other countries:999 Bz, SMS:199 Bz, Data:5 Bz/KB.

FAQ

How to apply for the service?
This service is automatically available to all prepaid Nawras customers and all postpaid Nawras customers who have the international roaming product/service.

How many messages would I receive?
Initially you will receive 2 messages “ Welcome SMS “ & “ Tariff SMS “. If you then switch to another operator in that country then another “ Tariff SMS “ will be sent if it wasn’t sent before.

Is it possible to block this service?
Yes it is. Kindly call the customer service centre and inform them that you wouldn’t want to receive this service.
