Position: FOC Design Engineer

The Role:
You will be providing engineering, design and construction support for outside plant facilities including Backbone FOC and Access Network FOC designs (FTTx, GPON) including the surveys.

You will define standard design/Drawing for civil work such as trenching, duct, hand hole/manhole, wadi crossings, road crossing etc. You will generate technical specifications of Fibre optic cable, ODF, joint closures, optical splitters etc. you will also generate as planned drawing and BOQ for civil and cable work. you will coordinate OSP design with Network design (Transmission/Access)and ensure Outside plant Data integrity using GIS and AutoCAD software
You will conduct acceptance test for the implemented projects. You will review the design and issue Change orders when necessary. You will also manage the database of outside plant infrastructure, the security and protection of the infrastructure.
 

The Person:
You have BE in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering with experience in Telecom Industry. You have broad Knowledge of Outside Plant Network Design, Mapping and drafting using GIS and AutoCAD. You have good Knowledge of Optical fibre characteristics and civil work techniques. You have a general Knowledge of all transmission technologies including DWDM, SDH, PDH, GPON, Metro Ethernet. You are very cost oriented with the ability to make You are fluent in English. Arabic a plus. Experience in GIS would be a Plus.
