Nawras Marketing Team take to the High Seas

Nawras, the Sultanate’s customer-friendly communications provider, continued the tradition of a regular Marketing Away Day, with a recent visit to Marina Bandhar Rawdha. Such opportunities emphasise one of the core values of the company ‘to be caring’ and demonstrate part of the mission statement ‘to be the employer of choice in Oman’. Twenty members of the Marketing team celebrated the success that Nawras has enjoyed since launching and used the informal day to stimulate new ideas and develop even stronger ties within the unit.

The day began with Tore Solberg, Marketing Director, reviewing the impressive first week of launch since MNP (Mobile Number Portability) and presenting results on a corporate level, together with future plans. He highlighted the fact that a large number of customers have chosen to switch their operator and move to Nawras were they now enjoying all the benefits of that decision, including the lowest local and international call rates in the Sultanate.

During the latter part of the morning, marketing employees were encouraged to offer their own thoughts and ideas to ensure that the ‘best service’ offered by Nawras continues to encompass creative promotional initiatives and trend setting products, services and rewards for customers. Solberg explained, “Drawing on all areas of expertise from within Marketing, Product Management, Roaming, Segment and Offer Management, Branding & Communication and Pricing, Nawras benefits from healthy debate and discussion which in turn leads to the best value, best quality and best service for our customers.”

The afternoon session saw the Marketing Team head off to sea, where they enjoyed and appreciated, the magnificent coast of Oman and some spectacular aquatic displays from numerous dolphin pods. Rounding off the day, a competitive football game took place with all those present agreeing that it was fortunate that Ali Al Habsi was not there to witness the event!
