Nawras crosses 400,000 customers
Rapidly growing from strength to strength


Nawras, the Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company, the Sultanate's customer-friendly telecommunications provider, has recently announced it has crossed 400,000th customers, a milestone achievement, in less than year and half since commercial launch in March 2005. What is of great interest is that last year at the beginning of Khareef Festival 2005 Nawras celebrated reaching 100,000th customer and this year during same period it has crossed 400,000. To mark the occasion Nawras has kept the same tradition as last year to celebrate with their valued customer by flying their 400,000th customer to Salalah to enjoy an extended weekend to taking part in the Khareef festival.

Speaking on the occasion on ground from Khareef Festival municipality grounds Ghaneem bin Said Al-Mashikhi Nawras Regional Manager Salalah remarked, “It was like yesterday we were celebrating with our 100,000th customer and their family in Salalah, today we are doing the same with our 400,000th customer Mr. Jamal bin Abdullah Al-Raisi!”

Mr. Al-Mashikhi added “The fact that so many customers have joined the growing Nawras family, in such a short period of time, choosing us as their preferred mobile service provide in the Sultanate is a testimony to the fact that the people of Oman have confidence and belief in Nawras to deliver them Best Service, Best Quality and Best Value mobile telecommunication. This year Nawras wanted to give the visiting general public from all over the region the opportunity to enjoy the Nawras world-class mobile experience by availing very exciting offers by visiting their stands, whether they are at the Dhofar Municipality at Midan or Global Village .

Festival visitors to both Nawras stands will have the opportunity to take advantage of 3 bonanza promotional offers and a Golden Number Draw competition. Customers can purchase any Nawras Mousbak (Single, Duo or Quattro) and Mousbak Plus welcome pack and get double the normal talk time credit worth total of 5 RO. There are 3 exciting handset bundle. Customers can purchase a handset bundle at a very competitive price that includes a Nawras Mousbak or Nawras Ajel welcome pack bundled with a Siemens C72 for 29.900 RO, Sony Ericson J100i for 27.900 RO or a Nokia 1100 for 21.900 RO. In addition, customers buying any of the handset bundles with a Nawras Mousbak welcome pack will also benefit from getting double the talk time credit worth total of 5 RO to their account. Furthermore, existing customers purchasing 8 RO vouchers or electronic recharge will receive more than 30% free credit giving them a total of 10.5 RO worth of talk time credit.. Daily Golden Number Draw is being conducted specifically at both Nawras stands in the festival. Customers who purchase any Nawras Mousbak or Nawras Ajel product will enter a daily draw for a Golden mobile phone number. Customers are entitled to receive up to 3 vouchers for the Golden Number draw depending on the type of welcome pack purchased. The draw is conducted daily by the Shoppers Stand Managers at 9.30 pm, and the winner is contacted immediately on their newly purchased Nawras mobile number. The Golden Number offer will be available only at the Nawras stands at both Khareef Festival and Global Village’s grounds and valid from 15th July until the 31st August 2006.
