Mobile customers who prefer Nawras waiting for Mobile Number Portability

A survey conducted by Pan Arab Research Company (PARC) on behalf of Nawras show that about 37% of the Oman Mobile customers would transfer to Nawras, if they could keep their existing mobile number. The good news is that a solution is within sight, since Mobile Number Portability, allowing customers to transfer from one mobile operator to another, is on track to be launched by the end of August. The same research showed a very high level of satisfaction among Nawras customers, with more than 85% saying they were satisfied being a Nawras customer. This satisfaction rate is considered to be very high in the mobile industry. Nawras is commissioning many researches and surveys on a regular basis to maintain the level of satisfaction and to address its customer’s needs.

Commenting on the research results Khalid Al Mahrooqi, Nawras Market Intelligence Manager, said, “The research results showed that they are many reasons that makes Nawras the preferred mobile operator for them. Among the reasons, which were listed by the research respondents is that Nawras is providing the lowest prices for both local and international calls. And in this regards its good to mentions that Nawras was the first to remove the distance out of mobile call pricing whether you are in Salalah, Musandam or Nizwa and calling Muscat, Sohar or Sur you pay one flat price. The purpose was to introduce transparent and easy to understand price plans with the best national and international voice prices in the Sultanate”.

Al Mahrooqi, continued, “Most of the research respondents mentioned Nawras as the only mobile operator in Oman providing reliable wireless internet services through EDGE, and Nawras is continually focusing on delivering high quality network and recently it’s being benchmarked by Ericsson to be on the top 3 in 10 parameters in 110 Ericsson GSM networks worldwide. The most interesting finding is that mobile customers in Oman perceive Nawras as the leader in mobile industry in Oman with a lot of firsts introduced to the market. We can certainly say that Nawras has redefined the customer experience across all aspects of providing mobile services. Nawras Stores have become a destination of choice, with ‘one stop shopping’ for SIM-cards and handsets, coupled with friendly sales service and support.
