Nawras Sales Team Away Day
Just for Fun


Nawras, the Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company, the Sultanate’s customer-friendly communications provider, has made it a tradition to have a Sale’s Kick Off every half year. One of Nawras' core values is to be caring, and the company mission is to be the employer of choice in Oman, and the bi-annual Kick Off is one of the ways that the company’s Sales management team tries to celebrate with its employees and make sure they feel cared about.

This year, the Sales team chose the new and excellent resort Barr Al Jissah as the venue. Most of the time during the two days were spent with games and fun activities, but they also found time to share some of the results on a corporate level as well as point out the direction going forward. "We do this in order to make sure that our employees know how their daily work contributes to the success of the company, as well as understand in what direction we are moving forward", Niklas Nielsen, Nawras Sales Director, commented. He continued: "During this session we also invite our staff to bring up any issues they might have or ask questions. This traditionally spurs some interesting debates, and we highly value this way of strengthening communication between staff and management".

At the event, Haitham bin Abdullah Al-Kharusi, Nawras Head of Corporate Offer Management and Corporate Affairs, also made a speech, where he highlighted the excellent relationship and cooperation internally between the Marketing and Sales departments. He also noted the Sales employees are the ambassadors of Nawras towards its customers, and continued: "Being in the frontline everyday is tough and challenging and I applaud how the Sales management team rewards the team by inviting everybody to an event where they can relax and get their batteries charged".

Ross Cormack Nawras CEO, attended one of the other sessions. Cormack spoke about the topics that are high on the agenda for the top management of the company at the moment, and engaged in a discussion session with all the sales staff. He concluded: "I feel very strongly myself about our company’s values of being caring and pleasingly different delivering to our valued customer always Best Service, Best Quality and Best Value. It is always a great pleasure for me to spend quality time with the Sales team and get closer to them not just at work but also enjoying offsite activities together ”.
