Nawras hosts 2nd Sales Convention for Khareef Salalah Team

Nawras, Oman’s most customer-friendly mobile operator recently organized its 2nd Sales convention of 2005 at Al-Sawadi Beach Resort for its 35 strong Khareef Sales team and family members, who were not able to attend the 1st convention organized earlier in July. This event was conducted exclusively for the Khareef Salalah teams to celebrate the great sales achievements made during the Salalah Festival at the Global Village from 17th July 2005 to 31st August 2005.

Speaking from Al-Sawadi Niklas Nielsen, Nawras Sales Director commented ''This event expresses Nawras' values of having fun while we work, and being excellent, caring and pleasingly different in all that we do. We organised the Sales Convention to say thank you to all our sales representatives who have worked very hard for nearly sixty days preparing and participating during the Khareef Salalah Festival to make sure that Nawras always remains close to its customers wherever they are”. Speaking to the sales representatives Nielsen added, “You have done an extremely great job during the festival, reflected by high sales that were well above the agreed target. Customers were impressed with our offers, our stand at Global Village and your outstanding excellent services during the festival. I would like to thank you all for going that extra mile, for being such a wonderful team and once again proving that it is the people who make the difference.”

''Family members and our Human Resource Director, Masoud Al-Maskery also joined in the celebrations”, said event organiser Olivia Al-Farsi, Department Head of Sales Support & Logistics. "Nawras' Sales force is a fun loving, vibrant, dynamic community who all share a strong passion to succeed. There was intense competition in the team events and we all had a lot of fun. We also used the opportunity to discuss our sales plans and targets for the rest of 2005. We chose a remote location from the office to really allow our sales teams and their families to enjoy a weekend break away from all their commitments”.

Adil Al-Zadjali, the Khareef Global Kiosk Manager said ''After spending almost two months at the Khareef Salalah Kiosk serving thousands of customers and exceeding our ambitious sales targets, it was really a very good gesture by our management to organize this event and celebrate our good achievements”. I really enjoyed all the activities specially the quiz competition and the beach games”. Habiba Al-Hinani, Shop representative added, “We had lots of fun especially given the fantastic weather and atmosphere at Al-Sawadi resort. It was also a very good opportunity to meet with other colleagues from Salalah and other regions. What I enjoyed most was the live band, Treasure Hunt, boat ride and the quiz competition.”

Masoud Al-Maskary, added, “Our sales team, are scattered all over the country and we managed to bring all of them together, this enhances the team spirit work and sense of belonging to one team. In addition, Sales have been leading in Nawras on the motivational and team building activities and internally we seek to follow their foot steps. Many companies fail as people issues are not high in their agenda. In Nawras we believe people are the ones who make or break the business and it is important that they feel valued and appreciated.”
