Nawras hosts press conference on enhanced Nawras Ajel – the premier choice!

Nawras, the Sultanate’s most customer-friendly mobile operator, organised a press conference at the Grand Hyatt Muscat to highlight their enhanced mobile postpaid product Nawras Ajel.

Speaking at the press conference Ross Cormack, Nawras CEO, announced, “Life is full of choices and we are all striving to make the best ones. At Nawras we believe in making your choices simple. That is why we have developed Nawras Ajel. Nawras Ajel is our flagship mobile product for people demanding something special. It offers a wide range of services, delivering everything you would expect from your mobile operator of choice. Mr. Cormack went on to highlight some of the exciting and innovative services being provided as part of Nawras Ajel:

Priority Access to Customer Service
Nawras understands that time is valuable for its customers, and is therefore providing Nawras Ajel customers with priority customer service, at no extra cost, through a dedicated number to its specially trained Customer Champions, 24 hours per day, and seven days a week.

Number Notification service
Many customers had an issue of changing their mobile number since a lot of family, friends and colleagues know them by that number. Nawras now provides a service to make changing your mobile number a smooth and hassle-free process. The service is completely free of charge and will only take a few minutes to complete.

Ajel Twin cards
With Nawras Ajel Twin cards customers have the convenience of using two duplicated SIM-cards with the same mobile number. All services are activated on both cards, Nawras Ajel Twin is ideal for customers with built-in car phones or multiple handsets. At the press conference a live demonstration, involving a media representative, took place to highlight how the Ajel Twin cards works switching between a mobile handset and a built-in-car phone in the latest model Jaguar XJ car.

Fast and attractive Mobile Data service
Enjoy the fastest mobile internet access in the Sultanate through Nawras EDGE-based network technology. Browse the internet and enjoy fast information access completely wire-free and at very attractive prices. Whether for business or pleasure, all that is need a Nawras Ajel product, and a mobile phone supporting GPRS/EDGE or a laptop with a GPRS/EDGE PC-card. SIM-Card Replacement service
If your SIM is lost or damaged, Nawras will give you a new one with the same phone number free of charge. Simply visit one of our shops, and we will provide you with a replacement SIM-card within minutes.

Billing and payment
Nawras helps you keep track of your mobile spending in many different ways. You can choose to get an itemised bill free of charge every month or you can access My Nawras on our website www.Nawras.om to look up recent details relating to your account, bill information and call history. On top of this, Nawras has made it easy for you to pay your bills. We have 300 payment channels ranging from Bank Muscat and Oman Arab bank branches to ATM payment, to Internet banking.

National Coverage
During the last six months Nawras placed great emphasis on expanding its own network and ensuring to deliver national coverage to customer as soon as possible. At launch more than 62% population was covered by our Nawras network. The Nawras network now covers 73% of the Omani population, and will cover 85% of the population by the end of 2005. Currently with national roaming nearly Nawras offers coverage to nearly 90% of the population-at Nawras prices!

International roaming
Nawras has expanded its network of international roaming partners, to cover more than 90% of Omani travel destinations. Currently there are 62 international roaming partners in 46 countries and the number of countries is continuously growing. By the end of 2005 Nawras will provide its valued customers with more than 100 roaming partners

Other great Nawras services
1) With Nawras Conference Call service six people, including the caller, can participate in one single call. 2) Nawras voicemail services allow callers to leave a voice message in your personal voice mailbox when you are unable to take calls, whether your mobile handset is out of range or switched off. An SMS will be sent as soon as a voice message is received. 3) Or if you rather want to take advantage of our Missed Call Notice service,
simply deactivate your Voice Mail service, and you will start receiving SMS notifications of each call missed, while you were inaccessible. 4) Other Nawras services include Caller Identification, Call Forward, Call Wait/Call Hold, My Nawras, Nawras Zone, SMS and Picture Messaging. All these services are included in Nawras Ajel-you do not need to pay for activation-only their use.
