Nawras Sponsors Ministry of Education ‘English for Life’ Competition 2005

Nawras the leading mobile operator in Oman sponsored the Ministry of Education ‘English for Life’ Competition 2005. The Department of Private Schools, Ministry of Education organised various competitions for Omani private and community Schools throughout the Sultanate from Musandam to Dhofar from 7th – 21st May. The ‘English for life’ competitions comprise of 14 competitions from KG students right through to Grade 12 students in addition to competition for KG, Elementary, Preparatory and Secondary teachers. The competition covers various areas such as creative writing, poetry, public speaking, presentation on Oman and environmental issues.

Speaking on the occasion Aisha bint Ahmed Suweidan Al Balushi, Acting Director, Department of Private Schools, Ministry of Education said “We would like to thank Nawras for their sponsorship of the ‘English for Life’ competition, the Ministry of Education is really appreciative of this kind of support in promoting and developing educational activities for students across the Sultanate.”

The Ministry of Education, Department of Private Schools will arrange tomorrow a special prize giving ceremony of the English for Life Competition 2005, under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, under secretary for Higher Education and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Muna bint Salim bin Khalfan Al-Jardani, under secretary for Education and Curriculum at Al Bustan Palace Hotel.
