Nawras the leading mobile operator in Oman yesterday officially announced that it now provides mobile coverage all over the Sultanate. Nawras that has launched it commercial services less then two month ago has set mobile industry standard within the short period of time since its launch.

Mr. Cormack remarked, “We are extremely pleased to announce to the people of Oman that we now cover the Sultanate, from northern most region of Musandum to the southern most region of Dhofar. We have achieved this success in such short period of time utilising current available resources within the Sultanate, by signing with our partner, Oman Mobile. The agreement allows Nawras customers to use their network coverage in areas where we currently do not have coverage, until we complete the roll-out our own networks.“

He went to add, “I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our valued customers who have Nawras a success story. In addition, I would like to thank the patience of those customers who wanted to become customer however where waiting for us to provide them national coverage. At launch we announced coverage for 65% of the population and we promised that shortly afterwards we will cover all the population. Today we deliver that promise especially to these customers who waited…today Nawras gets you even closer to your family and friends, even when you are away you are still close.”

Since launching their commercial service less than two months ago to the people of Oman, Nawras has been setting new industry standard in mobile service. They were the first mobile company in Oman to redefine customer experience in all aspect of mobile services. From what you buy, to how and where you buy it, from getting started, to using it, from getting help to paying Nawras has revolutionised the whole customer experience. Nawras was first to have over 450 points of sales. To mark the announcement of Nawras covering the Sultanate the company has organised great hand set bundle offer, buy a Nawras welcome packs (Ajel, Mousbak Plus and Mousbak) with Nokia mobile. Customers can purchase the offer from Nawras Mass Market partners, Premium Dealers and Nawras Stores.

In addition, promoters will hit the streets all over the country, Sohar, Musanna, Saham, Liwa, Nizwa, Sur, Ibra, Kamil and Bani bu Ali, Ibra and Salalah with a flyer that gives detail on who Nawras covers the Sultanate.

The most important element is that we have made Nawras stores “destinations of choice” where customers like to come in and shop around for the latest Nawras services as well as being able to pay their bills”. He added, “Sohar has an increasingly strategic importance in the Sultanate and today with the booming industrial development taking place in the region it is important for Nawras to have a presence to serve the people of the region with the high standard of mobile services we had promised prior to our launch in mid March.
