Nawras now covers the Sultanate
Oman’s new leading mobile operator delivers on promise

Nawras the leading mobile operator in Oman yesterday officially announced that it now provides mobile coverage all over the Sultanate. Nawras that has launched it commercial services less then two month ago has set mobile industry standard within the short period of time since its launch.

Mr. Cormack remarked, “We are extremely pleased to announce to the people of Oman that we now cover the Sultanate, from northern most region to the southern most region. We have achieved this success in such short period of time utilising current available resources within the Sultanate, by signing with our partner, Oman Mobile, a mutually beneficial agreement. The agreement allows Nawras customers to use their network coverage in areas where we do not have coverage and for their customers to use our high quality network where they do not have coverage. “

He went to add, “I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our valued customers who have Nawras a success story. In addition, I would like to thank the patience of those customers who wanted to become customer however where waiting for us to provide them national coverage. At launch we announced coverage for 65% of the population and we promised that shortly afterwards we will cover all the population. Today we deliver that promise especially to these customers who waited…today Nawras gets you even closer to your family and friends.”

The most important element is that we have made Nawras stores “destinations of choice” where customers like to come in and shop around for the latest Nawras services as well as being able to pay their bills”. He added, “Sohar has an increasingly strategic importance in the Sultanate and today with the booming industrial development taking place in the region it is important for Nawras to have a presence to serve the people of the region with the high standard of mobile services we had promised prior to our launch in mid March. Nawras is committed to continually enhancing telecommunication services and by being industry leaders through setting higher standards in the provision of caring support for our valued customers wherever they are, great value on the products we offer, easy-to-use services and technology that serves them better in order to make the customers telephony experience as easy as possible.

Nick Di Marzo, Nawras Retail Manager added that, “currently we have nine exclusive Nawras stores, that are owned and operated by the company and we have plans to expand this in the future. Nawras was the first mobile operator in Oman to introduce a brand new concept of distribution with premium partners, standard dealers and retail partners making Nawras’ services available at more than 450 points of sales throughout the Sultanate. He added, “When customers visit a Nawras Store they can try out the latest mobile phones and learn how to get the best from their mobile service from Nawras.”
