Nawras will be where its customers are

Nawras, Oman’s new mobile service provider, has been hard at work establishing a strong distribution network ahead of its launch. Nawras announced earlier this week in a press conference that the company will officially open for business on 16 March 2005. Since being awarded the Sultanate’s second mobile license in June 2004, Nawras has made it clear that providing an excellent customer experience is the top priority for the company. As a result of this pledge, Nawras intends to sell its services not only through nine Nawras stores at launch, but also to sell through more than 400 Nawras locations, such as telecommunications shops, electronic shops, supermarkets and other major chain stores.

Ross Cormack, CEO of Nawras said, “We are committed to providing caring support for our customers in the most convenient way and location. Nawras widely spread distribution network means that there are now more than 10 times as many outlets where customers can buy mobile communication, and for the first time in Oman, customers will have a pleasingly different experience when shopping for mobile communications services in Nawras locations”

Sales Director of Nawras, Niklas Nielsen added, “It is of paramount importance that we provide an excellent customer experience to our customers. We have invested significant resources in analyzing the needs and buying behavior of the market segments. This research has provided a sound basis from which to tailor the distribution network to best suit the Omani population. We have therefore established a network of own Nawras shops, backed up by strong players in the distribution business to be close to as many potential customers as possible”.
