Another exciting service from Oman’s leading mobile operator


Nawras the leading mobile operator in Oman has revolutionised mobile customer experience by launching another exciting new service for its valued customers called My Account as part of its on-lines services. Ross Cormack Nawras CEO remarked “My Nawras has been created especially for our valued customers. It is a special service, which provides them with personalized access to the dynamic, mobile world of Nawras. At Nawras we like to offer our customers best service, best value and best quality and My Account service is one such service…this is another first delivered by Nawras to mobile users in Oman.”

My Nawras was created to enhance customer experience by allowing them to access their mobile accounts on-line. With just a single click you can view your profile, check your account and call history as well as receive the proper configuration settings for your mobile handset. For your security, all the information about you which is stored in My Nawras, is protected by a unique user name and password.

Raed Dawood Nawras Product Manager explained, “My Account is a special service available to our customers on Nawras’s website at www.Nawras.com.om, in My Nawras section of the website. The service is provided for Nawras Mousbak, Nawras Mousbak Plus (prepaid) and Nawras Ajel (postpaid) customers. Prepaid customers can check their account status and call history, while Postpaid customers can check their account summary, bill information and call history. In addition, customers can check their bill up to one month and make a print out of it (postpaid only) as well as specifying two calendar date to review their call history (both prepaid and postpaid). Customers can update their profile online including day time and evening contact, email address. Billing information is updated in real-time for prepaid users, and for Postpaid on daily basis nationally and one month with international roaming. The information on the website are indicative values that are for reference purposes only.”

He went to add “To start benefiting from My Nawras, all you need to do is register using a simple online form, which will only take a few moments to complete. Currently the service is available to residential customers. You need to be Nawras customer and have a valid Omani Identification Card or Residence Card. If you have already registered with My Nawras you need to log in and going into My Account section. He concluded “This service comes to Nawras customers free of charge.” Other on-line services offered by Nawras include downloading games and ring tones from Nawras Zone and accessing the internet through GPRS technology.

Since launching its commercial, service less then 3 month ago, the people of Oman have experienced a higher standard of mobile communications in the Sultanate. Nawras was the first mobile company in Oman to redefine the customer experience across all aspect of mobile services. This included from what you buy, to how and where you buy it, from getting started, to using it, from getting help to paying. All in all, Nawras has revolutionised the whole customer experience.

Nawras was first to have over 450 points of sales. Nawras was first to introduce free of charge activation and subscription for services including Voice Mail and itemised and easy-to-understand billing. Nawras is the only operator to launch EDGE to ensure the fastest mobile data speeds in the Sultanate. Nawras was first to revolutionise payment methods for customers with over 300 locations through partnership with Bank Muscat and Oman Arab Bank. Most recently Nawras delivered on another promise by covering the Sultanate from northern most region of Musandam to southern most region of Dhofar, through an agreement with its partner. The agreement allows Nawras customers to use Nawras services also in areas where they have not yet built our own coverage. Most importantly, customers can use this service at Nawras prices.
