Cormack announces Nawras National Roaming at Connect Conference in Dubai

Nawras participated at the recently organised Connect International Telecom Conference held in Dubai, UAE. Key note speech was delivered by HE Mohammad Hassan Omran, deputy Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Telecommunications Corporation - Etisalat, United Arab Emirates on shaping the Middle East Telecoms Industry – Key Strategies for Operators’ Growth. Ross Cormack Nawras CEO delivered a presentation in the first morning of the conference, under the topic of operators’ strategies in a newly deregulated environment focusing on “How Nawras Plans To Make A Difference To Customers.” Other regional presenters included Mr. Ahmed Haleem CEO, Wataniya International, UAE who presented on “Executing A Regional Growth Strategy For Wataniya Telecom” and Mr. Khalid Al Kaf, Chief Executive Officer, MOBILY Company, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who presented “A Glimpse into Etihad Etisalat’s Business Strategy.”

Mr. Cormack announced “Nawras now covers the Sultanate from the Northern most region of Musandam to southern most region of Dhofar. This service is delivered to our valued customers at Nawras great value prices.” He Concluded “Nawras has in short-time built an excellent customer experience that is focused on delivering best value, best quality, best Quality.”

His presentation focused on Nawras’s entrance into the mobile market in the Sultanate of Oman and how it has delivered on promises made prior to its launch. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Cormack remarked “Nawras participated at Connect International Telecom conference in order to highlight its achievement to date in the various areas including growing market share, delivering innovative services at competitive prices and getting closer to its valued customers”.

The presentation highlighted Nawras’s achievements in less then three month since its commercial launch, to deliver on its promise to change the mobile communication landscape in the Sultanate forever in order to enrich the lives of people in Oman.

Other key messages at the conference focused on managing and delivering mobile content while maximising content revenue as well as regulating competition – lessons from European and other regional experience. The conference concluded with two workshops, one on the topic of operational excellence to competitive differentiation – maximising opportunities in deregulated telecoms markets’ and the second on explaining interconnection. The conference was attended by international and regional telecom business leader, regulators and experts.
