Nawras participates at Global Village at Khareef festival

Nawras Oman new leading mobile operator is proud to announce its participation in Khareef festival in Salalah as the main sponsor of Global Village events that runs from 18th July- 31st August. The Shanfari Group brings to Salalah the Global Village Khareef 2005 activities. The opening ceremony was officially inaugurated yesterday afternoon under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Amri the President of Dhofar Municipality and Chairman of the Organising Committee of Khareef 2005, in the presence of the Advisor of State H.E. Sheikh Mustahil bin Ahmed Al-Mashani, Sheikh Said Al-Shanfari, members of Majlis Addawla and Ash’shura, Walis and advisers. This is the fifth year since Global Village has participated in the Khareef festivals. The Global Village Khareef Festival 2005 is planned for the entire family and the most important part is that the fun and activities are provided at the Village free of any fee for the entire family.

Speaking from Salalah by Nawras’s 100m2 kiosk at the Global Village Ross Cormack Nawras CEO commented, “I have been extremely pleased by my visit to Salalah and the support that we have received from the authorities in the Dhofar region in aiding our participation in Khareef festival. We had visited H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Saif Al-Mahrooqi Deputy Governor and extended our thanks to him and the Governorate office for their good cooperation in making our participation in Khareef Salalah very positive.”

Ahmed bin Ali Al-Amri the President of Dhofar Municipality for kindly inaugurating the Nawras kiosk at Global Village and for their expressions of support for our participation in the festival to be a success.” At the end of the inauguration ceremony Mr. Cormack presented the chief guest a commemorative gift as token of Nawras appreciation for his support.

The activities run daily from 4:30pm till midnight with Tuesday nights being ladies and children only entrance; where Nawras is participating with special quizzes organized for families.
