Nawras Gold Sponsor of Muscat Festival 2006

Nawras, the Sultanate's customer-friendly communications provider, has announced that it is Gold Sponsor for Muscat Festival 2006. Nawras, renown in local mobile market for its many firsts in providing innovate products and services, was one of the first companies in the private sector to commit and partner with Muscat Municipality in supporting their endeavour to deliver an exciting Muscat Festival 2006.

Commenting on the announcement Haitham bin Abdullah Al-Kharusi Nawras Head of Corporate Affairs said, “At Nawras we feel that it is important to be involved with social and cultural events in the Omani community. We hope that by committing to the role of Gold Sponsor at this years’ Muscat Festival, Nawras will be recognised as a positive new force in Omani society, and as a good corporate citizen in the Sultanate.”

Nawras participated as a Silver Sponsor at Muscat Festival 2005, even prior to its commercial launch in March, had been a runaway success from two perspectives. First Nawras become a major contributor to this event that is beneficial for the Omani people and society at large. Secondly, Nawras had signed-up nearly 1,000 Nawras Friend daily and in total over 25,000 during the festival period, who latter formed large part of its current customer base. Within less than nine month since its launch Nawras enjoys a customer base of over 230,000 with more than 17% market share.

Acknowledgement of Nawras’s participation as a Gold Sponsor for Muscat Festival 2006, which will run from 11th January – 10th February 2006, can be seen on the newly introduced Muscat Municipality visual Electronic bridges signage. Nawras will have presence at the two major locations, at both Qurm Park and Athabia Beach with a large stand where its latest exciting offers and promotions, as well as displays and awareness on its innovate market leader product and services will be made available.
