Nawras hosts 1st Sales Convention

Nawras, Oman’s most customer-friendly mobile operator recently organized its first Sales convention of 2005 at Al-Sawadi Beach Resort for its 90 strong Sales team and family members. Speaking from Al-Sawadi, Niklas Nielsen Nawras’ Sales Director commented ''This event expresses Nawras' values of having fun while we work, and being excellent, caring and pleasingly different in all that we do. We organised the Sales Convention to say thank you to all our sales representatives who have worked incredibly hard since our commercial launch and to celebrate our milestone achievement of securing 100,000 customers - a 10% market share - within 4 months of launch. In addition, we used the opportunity to discuss our sales plans and targets for the rest of 2005. We chose a remote location from the office in order to really allow our sales teams and their families to enjoy a weekend break away from all their commitments.”

''Family members and our CEO Ross Cormack also joined in the celebrations, and there were several awards to recognise outstanding achievements in sales and customer service'' said event organiser Olivia Al-Farsi, Head of Sales Support. "Nawras' sales force is a fun loving, vibrant, dynamic and outgoing community who all share a strong passion to succeed. There was intense competition in the team events and we all had a lot of fun. We would like to thank our sponsors - Bank Muscat, Nokia, Bateel - and the Al-Sawadi Resort Management for all their help in making this such a memorable occasion for Nawras.''

Malik Al-Lawati, Al Araimi Shop representative said ''It was great to have a fun and relaxing weekend away from our hectic work schedule, however there were so many activities to try that I was exhausted at the end of the 2 days!'' My team won the beach football and came second in volley ball''. Tarik Al-Raisi, Manager of Nawras' Ruwi shop said ''I had a lot of fun on the jet skis and I almost managed to keep up with the group in the boat trip to the Sawadi islands. We thank our Sales Management team for organizing this event and really living up to the Nawras mission of being an employer of choice''.

Haitham Abdullah Al-Kharusi, Nawras’ Head of Corporate Affairs added, “If our Nawras Customer Service team are our Customer Champions, then the Sales team are our Customer Ambassadors.
