Jubilant Nawras Awarded Customer Service Provider of the Year

Nawras is thrilled to be celebrating receipt of the prestigious award ‘Customer Service Provider of the Year, Middle East and Africa’ as presented by CommsMEA last week. This accolade serves to underline the truly deep commitment of all Nawras people to live the customer experience every day.

Announcement of the exciting award came during the fourth annual CommsMEA Awards 2009 ceremony held in Dubai to honour the achievement of those companies excelling in the Middle Eastern and African telecom sector. Nawras emerged the jubilant winner of this important category with the trophy collected by a team of enthusiastic Nawras Customer Champions together with Customer Service Director Said Safrar and CEO Ross Cormack.

“We are all delighted and honoured to be named CommsMEA ‘Customer Service Provider of the Year’,” Safrar said after being presented with the trophy. “This is the result of our company wide determination to always stay focused on our customers as we deliver pleasingly different service to more than 1.8 million people all over the Sultanate of Oman and it is a tribute to the concerted efforts of everyone at Nawras. Once again our customers can see their communications provider is coming out on top even when compared with the best operators in the region and beyond.”

‘Customer Service Provider of the Year’ is the second customer service award picked up by the company this year after Nawras was earlier named ‘Middle East Call Centre of the Year’ by INSIGHTS. Just last month this customer friendly company also received its second global award in the form of the ‘Award for Brand Leadership’ from the 18th Global Awards for Brand Excellence held in Mumbai.

After collecting the award in Dubai and stepping back onto home soil, the overjoyed Nawras customer service team was greeted by an enthusiastic reception from their colleagues who had arranged for a traditional Omani band to be part of the pleasingly different airport greeting. The party continued with celebrations taking place in front of the Nawras building where customers and passersby were invited to join in the revelry.

A traditional Omani lunch was also organised in celebration of this exciting award. This enabled all members of the Nawras family to get closer as they renewed their commitment to deliver great value, pleasingly different service and excellent quality.
