Nawras Launches Sms News And Sport With Introductory Offer

Nawras, the Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year, is introducing five great services including breaking news and daily sports news sent by SMS, for the amazingly low subscription rate of only 250 Baisas for 30 days, until the end of June 2008. Customers are encouraged to sign up today to start receiving these informative SMS messages and to take full advantage of this great offer. Customers signing up before the end of June will receive the promotional price for the first 30-day period.

The choice includes local news, international news headlines from CNN, sports news updates with daily coverage (including special coverage of the UEFA Euro 2008 championship), a BBC breaking news service (messages sent when major stories break) and Islamic sayings (Athkar).

“We are delighted to be adding these new options to our existing long list of value added services,” said Mohamed Nadjwani, Nawras Product Manager. He continued, “We know that many of our customers are particularly interested in sport and with this new service, they can now receive daily updates on all major events taking place around the world including the Olympics in August.”

To start, customers simply send the appropriate keyword by SMS to 90990. For example, to receive international news, the keyword would be either BBC or CNN and for local news headlines, the keyword is News. To access sport headlines, the SMS should use the keyword Sport. These four services can be accessed in either English or Arabic. In addition, Nawras is offering Islamic sayings sent daily in Arabic.

Customers always have the option to send the keyword Help to 90990, if they are unsure of the specific keyword to use.

Just before the end of each subscription period, customers will receive an SMS from Nawras advising them that the service will automatically continue for a further 30-day period unless they need to cancel for any reason.

During this promotional period customers can save an incredible 75% or more of the regular subscription rates. From July, subscriptions to local news headlines and Islamic sayings will be at the normal rate of RO1 per month whereas BBC, CNN and sports news will be RO1.5 per month.

Nawras is now offering over 50 different value added services showing how customers can always look forward to getting more from their mobile experience with this award-winning operator.
