Nawras Launches Another First For Prayer Times

Nawras, the Middle East Mobile Operator of the Year, is pleased to be introducing another ‘first’ with the launch of its new prayer time subscription service, following on from the success of the SMS prayer time notification service, launched by the company last year. For a monthly fee of just 500 Baisas, Nawras customers can now receive an SMS giving the full daily prayer time schedule for any of the key cities in the GCC.

“Many customers are already enjoying our to easy-to-use pull SMS service, requesting information whenever they need it” commented Khalid Al-Mahmoud, Nawras Chief Operating Officer. “With this convenient new prayer time service we have made it easier still to stay informed by having the daily schedule automatically at your fingertips for the city or cities you have chosen,” he added.

“Once again, Nawras customers get more, with carefully selected value added services to match their requirements and importantly, not only are these services easy to get but they always come with great value and excellent quality, as expected from Oman’s leading mobile operator.”

Keeping track of prayer times has now become so much easier even when travelling around other Gulf countries. Destinations currently featured are: Muscat, Salalah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Mecca, Medina, Kuwait City and Manamah. As the list increases with the addition of new locations, these will be updated on the website at www.nawras.om and through this SMS service.

To get started, customers simply send a free SMS with the keyword Prayer, followed by a space and the City to 90900. For example, one could send Prayer Muscat or Prayer Mecca. A response will be received immediately, confirming the details of the service including the duration of the subscription and the cost of just 500 Baisas per month.

Customers may subscribe for as many cities as they wish and can unsubscribe at any time. This makes the service ideal for those travelling within the GCC who may need prayer information for a particular destination on a short-term basis.

Prayer time messages will be delivered after the last prayer of Ishaa’ each day, showing the city name, the following day’s date and the applicable time of Fajar, Shrooq, Dhuhur, Asur, Maghrib and Ishaa’.

By subscribing to the service before travelling, SMS prayer time notifications can be received by customers at no extra cost. As always, Nawras makes no charge for receiving an SMS while roaming in the GCC countries.

Customers are able to check any details of this useful service at anytime by either visiting the Nawras website or sending a free SMS with the keyword Prayer to 1500. The 1500 number is a newly launched, free comprehensive SMS service which helps customers to find out anything they need to know about Nawras, the fastest growing family in Oman. From Nawras Rewards to International Roaming, Value Added Services (including prayer times), products and services as well as general enquiries, all the information is accessible through the same number.

The prayer time subscription service has been introduced as a result of Nawras listening carefully to customers and using their valuable feedback when planning for the future. By focusing on customers and thoroughly testing all new products and services before launch, Nawras ensures all customers continue to get more from their friendly, professional mobile operator.

Nawras currently covers 96% of the population with its reliable world-class network, using national roaming where necessary and always with Nawras great value.
