Nawras pulls crowds at Comex 07 with new products, promotions and prizes

Nawras, the Sultanate’s customer friendly communications provider, was delighted to welcome huge numbers of visitors to its ultra-sleek stands at Comex 07 where the air of excitement was palpable. The overwhelming interest in the new products and services creatively showcased, led to customers clamouring to take advantage of the welcome pack offer for only RO 2 and hundreds seized the opportunity to join Nawras, immediately benefiting from the waived porting fee.

On the business side, customers were particularly keen to hear about the advantages of the new Nawras Internet options, the affordable wireless connections that are instantly available (with no waiting lists) and to see how easily and quickly Nawras Internet is set up. The time and cost-saving elements of Nawras Business Solutions including Closed User Group (CUG) with its free calls within a company, and the convenience of the paperless E-Billing service also attracted many enquiries.

Visitors flocked to the Nawras Shoppers stand where many hundreds became new members of the ‘fastest growing family in Oman’. They were particularly impressed by the great Nawras offers, the experts explaining the opportunities of MMS (picture messaging) and the fantastic daily prizes of the latest Sony Ericsson K6 10i 3G camera phones which were won by three lucky customers each and everyday throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Existing business customers were featured in presentations shown at the Business stand, relating their pleasingly different experiences with Nawras. They included Mr. Vinod Shah, General Manager, Mott McDonald & Company LLC, who said, “Nawras’ partnership with OPAL is a clear endorsement of their innovative products and services. We at Mott McDonald are pleased to be associated with this partnership, which not only adds value to our daily work but also facilitates cost-effective communication solutions. Speaking about the new vehicle tracking system, Mr. Victor W. Mascarenhas, Operations Manager of Tri star Transport LLC, said, “Being in the logistics industry, our job involves timely delivery for our clients. Fleet tracking devices are an essential part of this exercise and we use MobiApps technology together with Nawras services to keep us informed. Many Comex visitors were quite surprised by the versatility, mobility and convenience of Nawras Mobile Email. Having the freedom to be able to check emails while out and about, conducting business away from their office location, was a major selling point.

Visitors to Nawras Shoppers stand were also able to test Nawras Internet, and experience the new Nawras Internet EDGE-enabled E220 USB modem which gives even greater convenience for faster setup of this wireless internet than ever before and being already enabled for 3G service, makes it future-ready for use when such services are launched in Oman.
