MyNawras competition winners awarded

Nawras, the Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company SAOC, the Sultanate’s customer-friendly communications provider, invited the three winners of MyNawras competition to its Main Office where they met with Nawras senior officials and were handed their valuable prizes.

The exciting competition started on the 24th of April 2006 to promote the unique online service MyNawras. Where existing or new customer who registered or logged into MyNawras online before May 31st 2006 entered a draw to win one of three high end mobile handsets. The winners were notified automatically after the draw date, which took place on June 3rd 2006.

Haitham Al-Kharusi, Nawras Head of Offer Management and Corporate Affairs, commented “We are extremely happy about the results of MyNawras competition. The effect has been very positive and the number of users of MyNawras has increased by over 60% since the beginning of the competition. It was really a fantastic opportunity for our customers to get know and benefit from MyNawras. At Nawras we are always looking at ways to serve our customers more personally.”

MyNawras was created to enhance customer experience by allowing them to access their mobile accounts online. With just a single click customers can view their profile, check their account and call history details, as well as receive the proper configuration settings for their mobile handset. For security purposes, all the information stored in MyNawras is protected by a unique user name and password. The registration process for MyNawras is simple, and it only takes a couple of minutes to complete the online form. To register our customers need to enter their Nawras mobile number, Omani Civil ID number, choose a username and password and then they can enjoy all MyNawras advantages.

The three MyNawras winners where honored by Mr. Khalid Al-Mahmoud, Nawras Chief Operating Officer, and Eng. Abdulla Al Rawahy, Nawras Chief Technical Advisor at the ceremony held at Nawras main office.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ibrahim , one of the winner, commented, “I received a call from Nawras main office inviting me for this special occasion,” Mr. Ibrahim went on to add, “Nawras is renown for delivering a series of great value added services to its customers. MyNawras is considered one of those services which help us to control our calling expenses by knowing details information about our call in terms of duration and cost. I use MyNawras service to check my account on regular basis and found it a very useful and interesting service. “

Mr. Hassan Al Belushi, the second winner, commented, “The existence of Nawras in the mobile telecommunication market in Oman contributed a lot in raising the quality of service we are receiving and that is clear from the many innovative services Nawras has introduced to the local mobile market.” Mrs. Oliveira, the third winner of MyNawras competition, said, “I am very pleased with the unexpected prize that I won in this competition. It was really a good surprise because I was told that I am invited to visit Nawras main office without telling me about the reason. And I take this opportunity to thank Nawras for their kind gesture.”

The MyNawras online free service allows Nawras Mousbak and Nawras MousbakPlus (prepaid) and Nawras Ajel (postpaid) customers to look up their account information in a secure environment. All Nawras customers can login to MyNawras on www.Nawras.om at their convenience and look up detailed account information which includes useful information such as “call history” and “bill information”. In “call history” Nawras customers can find detailed information about the time, date, destination number and cost for each call, SMS etc. made from their account during the last 30 days. In “bill information” Nawras Ajel customers can find detailed billing information, which includes their bills from the previous six months with the ability to download the latest bill in PDF format.

Additionally, MyNawras provides customers the opportunity to easily request the settings to configure their mobile handset for sending picture messages to families and friends, and to access the exciting services of the Nawras mobile portal, Nawras Zone, or content elsewhere on the Internet.
