Nawras introduces cost-saving service for business customers

Nawras, the Sultanate’s customer-friendly communications provider, has introduced a new service specifically designed to cater for business customers, entitled ‘Closed User Group’. The most important benefit of the service is that it permits free calls within a designated company, simplifying the budgeting of fixed expenditure for a company’s internal calls. There are no peak or off-peak tariff considerations to be made within this arrangement, and the Closed User Group service is particularly appealing for those companies with an above-average volume of internal communication. Once again, Nawras has come up with another ‘first’ demonstrating the importance the company places on listening to customers, and as a result, creating specific services that precisely address their requirements, rather than trying to force a one-size-fits-all solution on each organisation.

Haitham Al Kharousi, Nawras Head, Offer Management and Corporate Affairs, explained, “We have researched and analysed the needs of our business customers and used the results to create an offer that is designed to make it easy to budget internal communication costs within companies or groups.” He touched on the wider implications of such a service, saying, “The ability to benefit from free calls within the Closed User Group is going to prove very advantageous for companies in Oman and could be a contributing element to their competitiveness in the marketplace.”

The Closed User Group service is offered to all Nawras Ajel (postpaid) business customers, for a minimal monthly fee and is applicable to all mobile subscriptions under the same Commercial Registration Number (CRN). For example, if a company with 20 mobile subscriptions chooses to take advantage of this service, then all 20 subscriptions within the company can talk to each other without the hindrance of a rate-per-minute charge. Furthermore, since these calls are free and not subject to time restrictions, the Closed User Group customers can communicate internally round the clock, knowing they will always receive the same low total on their monthly bill.
