Nawras Goodwill Journey 2 Calls at Mahdah

Nawras, the Sultanate’s customer friendly communications provider reached Mahdah today, with the Goodwill Journey 2 convoy significantly making its first call to the new Governorate of Al Buraimi. Visiting the Omani Women’s Association, the Nawras team were warmly welcomed by the Director, Shiekah Ali Al-Surihya before staging an event under the kind patronage of Shiekh Mohamed Rashid Al-Saadi, Deputy Wali of Mahdah and also HE Shiekh Salem bin Ali Al-Kaabi, Member of the Shura Council. The Goodwill team participated in several activities organised by the Association and showed their appreciation for the performances given by the enthusiastic children. Within the Association, faces lit up gratefully as donations of computers, electronics and electrical devices including fridges and sewing machines were presented by Nawras.

Second time participant of the Nawras Goodwill Journey, Omar Al-Farsi, usually to be found in the marketing department at Nawras, explained how the totally different way he was currently spending his days, was having such an impact on him personally. He explained his feelings, “I did not expect to experience the same depth of compassion and joy that I felt on the first journey, but I have to admit that I am equally touched this time by the diverse needs in our society and the great work that charities like the Omani Women’s Association are putting in, day after day.”

Ahlam Al-Busaidi reflected on her involvement in the Goodwill Journey, saying, “It has been such a privilege to take part in this great initiative. It is hard to measure the extent of the happiness and assistance that has been spread across the Sultanate, but I can say without any doubt, that I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to be able to play my small part in this Nawras Goodwill Journey 2 during Ramadan.”

The convoy will complete the 8-day roundtrip tomorrow, returning to the Nawras main office in Athaiba, during Wednesday evening, October 18th 2006. The convoy will be welcomed back by their Nawras management, the support team and colleagues.
