Nawras Goodwill Journey begins today at Salalah

Salem bin Aufeit Al Shanfari, chairman of Dhofar Municipality will flag off the Second Nawras Goodwill Journey which begins today from the Nawras branch office in this southern coastal city.

The flagging off ceremony will be held in the presence of top officials of Nawras which includes Ross Cormack, CEO; Khalid Al Mahmood, COO; and Abdullah Al Rawahi, Chief Technical Adviser of Nawras.

The Nawras Goodwill Journey is a social initiative undertaken by Nawras to reach out to the needy during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Employees of Nawras will visit various charitable organisations in the next eight days all across the Sultanate in two phases and donate items that are essential to different social organisations working among the underprivileged and the needy.

The first stop for the Goodwill convoy will be the Women's Association in Sadah which is a two-hour drive away from Salalah. The team will distribute some needy items to the association.

The Second Nawras Goodwill Journey will consist of eight vehicles branded with the Nawras Goodwill Journey logo and has 11 Nawras employees who have volunteered for this noble task. The convoy will also have media representatives and dedicated photographers who will document the entire journey.

This second edition of the Goodwill Journey incidentally begins from where it ended last year in Salalah.

Times of Oman and Al Shabiba will provide coverage for the first leg of the Goodwill Journey.
